The staff we fantastic could not do enough for you ..the food was excellant breakfast options superb choice .views superb nice walk into cullen village short walk .

Three night stay at the Cullen Bay hotel.  We and our two dogs were made very welcome.  Our room was cosy and comfortable, had a good sleep each night.  Ate in on two of the evenings and the meals (Blade of beef/Haddock Mornay/Fish Pie/Chicken were all very tasty and delicious.  Breakfast was plentiful and staff were kind and obliging.  Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Service was excellent, all staff were very friendly.  Food was excellent though a bit expensive.  Good sea view from restaurant and room. We were there on a very quiet weekend.

Terrific location across the road from golf course and beach. Staff extremely friendly and eager to help. Restaurant and bar were excellent. Stayed in Rm 12 with the turrent( extra space with great view) Best place to stay along the coast!

Really nice hotel just outside Cullen but a very easy walk to Cullen. Our room was really clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable and had a good size bathroom with shower over the bath. We planned to eat in the restaurant on the first night and maybe look somewhere else for the second night. However the food was so delicious we decided to eat here the following night too!! Breakfast was also really lovely, all piping hot and obviously cooked to order. All staff were really nice and very attentive. We really enjoyed our two nights away here. Felt like we had a nice break. Only minor down side was that the bar was a bit lacking atmosphere in the evening and maybe would benefit from a wee update. But overall we had a fabulous stay and would definitely return in the future. Keep up the good work !

A surprise two night stay to celebrate my wifes birthday.Room had lovely views of the Moray Firth and beach.Likewise the restaurant had fantastic sea views. Good Breakfast selection and restaurant menu was excellent with good quality locally produced fresh food.The Cullen Skink to die for!A nice quiet and picturesque path leads from the hotel to the town of Cullen.

A nice relaxing break in an excellent location

Cullen Bay Hotel is located just outside the town, well signposted with a big enough sign so you don't miss it. There is plenty of off street parking.
It advertises to have the award winning Cullen Skink, and all I can say to that is that it certainly does, you could smell the smokiness of the Haddock when you first book in at reception and then taste it at evening meal and it is delicious. 
The dining rooms have views over Cullen Bay and even on a dull day still looks beautiful. 
My room was advertised as having a Country view but as there was no picture of this on the web site I had to take their word for it. However,  this was not the case (see photo). Having said that the room itself was clean , tidy and warm with the usual tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was also clean (shower over the bath). The only thing missing from the room was an information pack.
My evening meal was delicious and very filling (yes I did partake in the Cullen Skink experience and it lived up to its famous name)
Breakfast menu had the usual full Scottish choices and it set you up for the day. (the coffee will keep you awake for the week as it was very strong and bitter)

Nice hotel, Cullen Skink lives up to its award winning status in my opinion

Visited today , first impressions were good.  Excellent customer service, staff very attentive and pleasant.  
Food mediocre and expensive. Burger and smoked haddock were quite dry, however the chips were beautiful!
The hotel itself looks nice and well maintained but I don’t think we will be back to the restaurant.

Well worth a stay!

The hotel is well situated and the staff were very helpful. Our room had a very comfortable bed and seemed to have been recently renovated & decorated. There was a table with two comfy chairs looking out to sea which we enjoyed. However the electrics had not been adapted fully to accommodate the renovations meaning there was only one useable socket. The plumbing in the en-suite had also not been brought up to date meaning the toilet was difficult to flush and took a long time to fill up, The door handle easily jammed too - we did report these things. Updating the ensuite and sorting out electrical sockets would make such a difference. The food was actually very good but would recommend avoiding the expensive 30 day steak, I ordered medium/rare and it came very well done. The hotel needs to tweak a few things to make what is essentially a nice place to stay into what people expect these days.

Good hotel but needs to address a few issues.

Went to the Cullen Bay Hotel for a Birthday meal and were not dissapointed. Starters l had the Cullen Skink ( excellent) my wife had the Haggis Bon Bons ( Excellent again) the only down side was 3 thin slices of chesse/garlic bread cost £4.00 !!! The mains my wife had the Haddock, Smoked Haddock, Salmon and Prawn fish (10/10) l went with the Burger etc again very good. For afters we had apple crumble with ice cream and my  wife had the custard with it . Staff were excellent. Would we recommend The Cullen Bay Hotel- Yes

Birthday Dinner

Very accommodating for an elderly birthday. Food was great very hot and served just at the right timings. Staff were attentive and checking everything was ok. The only thing I’d say it is better to address the customer as Sir, madam rather than pal and sweetheart. I know everyone is different and it’s a personal thing but in a professional capacity, people should be addressed appropriately this would make the customer experience 6*. It was great food at a reasonable price. We will be back we enjoyed it so much

Great experience with a spectacular view of the bay at Cullen

Absolutely gem of a hotel. Spotlessly clean , stunning views and the staff are all fantastic. 
I was staying for 2 nights with my dog and the team could not have been more accommodating. 
Lovely dog friendly room and breakfast included plus a wee sausage for my dog each morning. 
I will definitely be back for a break with my dog as made to feel so welcome.

Fantastic relaxing break

The hotel has has a bit of a makeover in the rooms and they are very good the food is amazing and the prices are a bit lower than the were on a previous stay staff were friendly and provided excellent service the only slight fault in my stay was the room curtains do not cover the window and the two large lights in the car park make it difficult to sleep with the amount of light coming into this particular room. other than that it was a great stay to be recomended to others
