Ty Bryn Bed and Breakfast

We really can't say enough good things about Ty Bryn. It's really quite magical, from its position overlooking the River Wye, to the elegant way that Nickie, the host, has restored it and furnished it with such flair. This was the first time we'd stayed at Ty Bryn and I am very glad we happened upon it as we can really see that it will now be a regular place for us to spend our short breaks. I certainly won't forget the first morning when we opened the curtains in our room to see the view of sunrise over the lush valley and the River Wye. It's pretty special, and I just want everyone to experience it. We'd booked to stay at Ty Bryn one night either side of our honeymoon in Cornwall, to break the journey. As lovely as Cornwall is, when we arrived at Ty Bryn for our first stop-over, we ended up wishing we could have just spent the week there! Nickie is such a lovely person - so kind and hospitable, we could have chatted for hours. She was so accommodating and kind when we arrived, even when we had a slight travel delay. The rooms are spotlessly clean, fresh, comfortable, and beautifully designed. They have the most elegant taste but are so warm and unpretentious, the loveliest I can remember staying in with wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in Thistle on the way down, and Daffodil on the way back. Both have that amazing views. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious and set us up for our onward journey each way. We were sad to leave and are already hatching a plan for when we can come back! Thanks again Nickie! Kate and James x
