Clean and tidy hotel No issues with anything

Thank you very much we had a great stay here. The staff were super friendly, the room was clean and modern, easy parking and the breakfast was 10/10. Highly recommended!

We had to book this hotel at the last minute and they were ready and waiting for us. Checkin was easy. The rooms we were allocated were reasonable, clean and well kept. Bathroom had a shower but no bath. We dined in the hotel which was fine. Service and meals were excellent. The hotel is a stopping place for bus tours but bus tour parties are segregated from paying guests so there was no problem there. The location is quiet. Sleep quality very good. About 30 minutes drive from Inverness but that was not a problem. Recommended.

We (my Mum, her best friend, my aunt and myself) attended for a long weekend for The Hot Country  TV country music and dancing event.
There was nothing I could fault or critique.
Our rooms were lovely, large, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were so comfortable that I was asleep within minutes of turning out the light.
The social areas were beautifully decorated with a variety of seating arrangements and log burning stoves.
The food was delicious. We had a buffet breakfast, and a 3 course dinner with coffee. The sausages at breakfast were the best... for 2 of my breakfasts I just made sausage sandwiches with white bread and mustard.
The owners, Colin and Theresa were onsite the whole weekend. Lovely people, friendly, caring and so very helpful
 Their daughter also worked on reception, didn't get her name, but lovely girl, hard working, efficient and always friendly and approachable.
On our last night, my aunt fell and hurt her wrist. Colin and Theresa both attended to give first aid and help with contacting the Out of hours NHS24. When we got home to our local hospital,  turns out she had a small fracture and is now in a plaster cast.
I give 10/10. Will be returning twice a year now for this event and will also be recommending to friends and family.

We arrived for a weekend of mountain biking 
Ample parking when we arrived and a fast check in.
Rooms were comfortable and warm 
Downstairs were 3 log burning fires which gave out a lovely warm ambiance to a chilly day 
We ordered supper and wow excellent food with sizeable portions,we stayed for supper the following night too it was so good.
Breakfast was 10/10 also a truly first class breakfast 
The staff were very nice to talk to and were very helpful and informative 
We will definitely return to this highland Gem

Really enjoyed our coach trip doing the railways tour.  Stayed here as part of the deal.  Unfortunately, I was getting over a chest infection and had completely lost my appitite.  I purchased a mug and a pack of cuppa soup which I found that I could keep down.  This was not a problem with the staff doing this, in fact they grabbed my mug before getting my hubs order.  Great stay.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights . Wonderful hotel lovely setting. Staff very friendly . Paula works very hard in the restaurant with only a young staff to help her . She reminded me of a lady I used to work with called Nancy . So hardworking and efficient. My hubby had to eat early because of a medical problem she always let us in early.  Rooms small but clean and everything you need. Food was good .would like to return again sometime . 

Stayed for 4 nights with a coach party. We were very well looked after by the hard working staff. The head waitress was super efficient and friendly. Meals were very good and the service was impressively quick. Packed lunches were very good value. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed cocktails in the comfortable, beautifully decorated lounges.

The room was recently refurbished, so was lovely with fresh white paint. The Highland Fine Soaps toiletries were a nice touch.However, the housekeeping was a little confusing. We stayed 3 nights. Our bed was not made after the first night but was after the second. Mugs were cleaned, but tea bags not replenished - these were easily obtained from reception. Reception were slways helpful and friendly. The BIG disappointment was the cooked breakfast. Everything had clearly been cooked hours before and kept warm. The food was lukewarm served on hot plates. The black pudding was so hard on Sunday morning that it was difficult to cut. The bacon and sausage were tough as old boots. We gave the cooked breakfast a try the second morning in case our experience was a one-off - it was a little better but still mostly inedible apart from the mushrooms and (tinned) tomato. On the third morning, we skipped breakfast and had brunch out.

We stayed here as part of a coach party earlier in the month and given some of the negative comments we were  more than pleasantly surprised.
We were allocated room 502 ,a large room which yes did face out to the car park on one side but given the amount of time that we actually spent in the room wasn't an issue.
The room was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable with spotless cotton bedding and the bathroom was large with a walk- in shower that had been adapted for anyone with a disability.
The rooms were still unserviced with clean towels provided if you left used ones at the door and bins emptied again if left at your door.While again this wasn't an issue as we only stayed for 4 nights but I can see that this would be if you were staying any longer and is really the only criticism that we would have.

The hotel staff ,from reception, dining room and hotel bar were all friendly and courteous and couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was self service but the choice couldn't be faulted with plenty of  hot and cold options available from traditional cooked products sausages  ,bacon ,black pudding (which were of excellent quality) to cereal ,croissants ,yoghurts, fresh fruit  as well as fresh juice and tea and coffee.
We ate from the a la carte menu on 2 nights ,the choice again we couldn't fault and  we thoroughly enjoyed the food.
On the  middle two nights we had a fixed menu which although the choice was restricted we also enjoyed.
The hotel provided a packed lunch for us which at a cost of £5.95 was well worth the money.
We had entertainment on 2 nights during our stay provided by Alfie a fantastic singer /guitarist whose repertoire ranged from the Birdie Song( which was a request from a guest) to AC/DC, with everything from the 50s through to present day included and on one night Elvis was in the building and joined Alfie to provide  a great nights entertainment of music and with the interaction with the guests much laughter.
The hotel is  situated just across the road from the much photographed Bridge  and there are lovely walks round about.
All in all we had a lovely time at the hotel.

Pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived as a coach party we were all given a Covid advice sheet, however the only useful text on it was the hotel's WiFi password, which was good, for the hotel's Internet connection was excellent. All the other advice on the sheet however was pointless. Staff didn't wear masks, guests rarely wore masks and the information about bedrooms not being serviced was a load of bunkum..Covid is no longer an issue at the hotel, however lack of staff is.
Want your room cleaned? Beds made? Bins emptied? Do them yourself.
Breakfast is self service - water, tea, coffee? All self service. No beans? Egg? Tomatoes? Rarely checked by the 2 or 3 staff. You have to ask. Individual, small, prepared bowls of cereal covered with cling film. Individual small glasses of milk, covered with cling film, and plastic, scratched water jugs pre- filled with tepid water - a haven for bacteria.. 
Want a drink with your evening meal? Fetch it yourself - the restaurant bar is closed.
Starters and main meals are served. Limited choice of deserts (self service) and coffee, tea etc are from a machine - help yourself.
The 3 restaurant staff are stretched to their limits, especially one evening when the 3 coach parties waited ages to be served. One, and only one of the restaurant staff - Paula - however, deserved a medal. She was the only really helpful member of staff, always working full tilt to keep clients happy.
Alfie provided excellent entertainment for 2 hours on 2 evenings with help on the 2nd evening from "Elvis" who unfortunately kept forgetting his words.
I've given the hotel 4 stars because, overall, it deserves it, but it really must do more to recruit the staff it so badly lacks.
Carrbridge is an excellent village with woodland and riverside walks and ideally placed for Aviemore. And if you go to Aviemore don't miss paying the Fudge shop a visit - selling a wide variety of very tasty fudge made in the town.
