Lovely site, very clean and spacious, had an outdoor pool and plenty of amenities which are kept to a very good standard….  Lovely bar and restaurant area which has entertainment regularly.      Food is really good and reasonable prices, always served nice and hot     Staff were very pleasant and helpful.   A bit of a walk to the beach but not too bad.    Definitely go again

I’ve been visiting this holiday park for a few years now with my husband, family, and my little girl (now 7), and every time it’s been wonderful. The park is so peaceful and tranquil, and the staff are absolutely lovely – nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

The evening entertainment always caters for everyone, whether you’re a couple or a family, and the whole place has such a warm, welcoming feel. I love that it’s a family-run park with genuine values, which makes it feel so much more personal compared to bigger, busier parks.

This time I came just with my daughter, and I felt completely safe and looked after. In today’s world, that’s the most important thing for me. Unlike the larger venues in the area, where I’ve sadly seen fights break out, here it’s calm, friendly, and exactly what a holiday should be.

The outdoor pool, park and arcade are also fabulous and so welcoming. 

Highly recommend to families and couples alike – this place is a real gem.

Absolutely amazing experience here,when we walked in for the first time we were greeted with such good vibez and happy smiles from all the staff from the start,we are a family of 7 and we all felt very welcome here,every local here were amazing and were very helpful when it came to tea time and we had to feed the family,omg i was shocked to learn that for 20 pound i could litreally feed all of 5 children i mean thats an absolute barain we saved so much money,the food here was bang bang,i will say the chef is incredible and his colleague were both amazing worked together as a team ngl the mash and gravy was out of this world one of the best we have all tasted yet we give you a ten ten,the entertainment was absolutely amazing loved the singing,proper talented amazing ⁸ here and we will be recommending to everyone,thank you for an awesome holiday,we will be back very very soon x

We have visited lakeside on many occasions, several times a year over the years. We have seen several changes over those years. This year was one of them. Royale resorts went into administration and the park still carried on with new management. The new manager is doing his best to keep this park and club house going. They have recently had a new entertainment team who are doing a fantastic job bringing a new entertainment guide. Kids club, mini disco, bingo, quizzes, game shows, live acts and much more.   We will return next year for another fun packed time making even more memories. 

Great little holiday camp, clean, tidy, quiet and friendly site, with pleasant staff.
Lovely sized fishing lake with some nice clean fish in it, been to some camps with lakes and seen some very poorly looking fish.
The Caravan was modern and very clean, plates, cutlery, glasses and cookware were spotless, no dust, fresh white linen, central heating was very good, plenty of hot water, fridge freezer and cooker were spotless and modern, kettle, toaster and microwave were a good make, not cheap budget electricals. Both bathrooms were spotless too, I cannot fault anything in the caravan.
Lakeside is a small site, so don't expect too much from the site facilities, club was reasonable, food was an 7.5/10, outdoor swimming pool was closed, but I'd expect that in late October. No convenience store as such, just a few essentials in reception, they have a laundry room too.
The site does have free wi-fi in the clubhouse and you can also pay for wi-fi via a third party, but be warned, the only time we were able to connect was if we were without 100yrds of the clubhouse, once you got out of range it was very unstable, not the sites fault, the third party need to update the routers around the site.
The site is a short walk to the local leisure centre, a small park with free use of tennis courts and a slightly longer walk to the beach, which along that coast is soft, clean sand, council cleans it every morning.


Perfect little holiday park. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family. The park is quiet and peaceful.
The caravan was clean and very homely.
Near to shops and beach all within walking distance.
Will definitely be coming back here soon.

Visited with my husband for a week and we weren't disappointed. The holiday park is relatively small in comparison to Haven etc, but was just what we wanted. Nice and quiet! The site has a bar and restaurant which is reasonably priced, with food available to take away. There was bingo and entertainment each night although I can't comment on this as we didn't go on an evening. The caravan was very clean with enough equipment for the stay, The drinking glasses were very small so if you want something a little bigger, take some with you. The park has a fishing lake (take your own tackle) a laundrette, a very small arcade and a shop in reception selling essentials that you might have forgotten. The park itself was very clean and well maintained and all the staff were helpful and friendly, I honestly can't fault it! It's situated about a 10 minute walk from the sea front and Burham town and has buses that run to Weston-super-Mare. There are plenty of places to visit in the area and further at less that an hours drive away. When I go on holiday in Somerset again I will definately be booking back in to this park. Stayed in 2 bedroom puffin plus caravan that was spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need 
The lakes are loving and peaceful don't forget to feed the ducks!
Nice clubhouse well stocked bar good selection at reasonable prices with great special offers  only ate here once but very nice 
Bingo most nights followed by disco quiz etc
Be warned if you like karaoke get in quick literally only lasts an hour 
Male singer on the Saturday was really very good thoroughly enjoyed it just a shame kids were allowed to carry on running and shouting throughout the act.
New manager and entertainment manager started recently so maybe it'll change 
Lots of nice people around 
But few owners really don't want holiday makers around 
But there easy to ignore 
10 minutes walk to beach etc although we drove due to health problems plenty parking 
Lots of cafes and restaurants 
Our favourites were the smokehouse 
Chatterbox
And the rosewood
Few lovely days in town and along beach front 
Further afield cheddar gorge and western supermare worth a visit 
Personally didn't like Taunton attall but if you like shopping you won't be disappointed 
Would we return to lakeside? Absolutely

We were booked in for the weekend at Pontins, Brean Sands. We were unable to check in at 4pm. There was no guarantees we would get booked in for 6pm. We had been witness to complaints from guests about poor cleaning or no cleaning. I am chronically unwell and by this time I could not queue any longer and needed accomodation. So I looked online locally and came across Lakeside. At nearly 5.30pm on a bank holiday, I never imagined anyone to be there, nevermind have any availability. At first the receptionist said they didn't take same day bookings. At this point I got upset and explained our situation. After checking with her manager they said they had something for us, at a very reasonable price and to come down. She said she was due to leave any minute but would hang around for us. She advised me I would need a form from Pontins reception if I stood any chance of getting a refund. Another 20 mins waiting. Then 5 miles in the car, but the lady at Lakeside waited for us!
When we arrived it was pouring of rain. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and were advised that they had upgraded us to the next model caravan up, so we could have parking next to our van. They even gave us double bedding as we only had singles with us. We were amazed at the kindness. The staff said that Pontins has a bad reputation and we're happy to help. If we didn't find anywhere we were about to head home!
The 2 bed puffin caravan was really lovely. Modern, well equipt and well situated for the onsite bar. Enough space for us for the weekend. Nice kitchen. Clean park. Well situated for Burnham on sea and Brean Sands. 
We had dinner at the restaurant and was impressed at the value. Good selection. Reasonably priced. Good point of fosters (which was well needed). Only downside was due to our late arrival there were no tables so we had to sit in a greenhouse attached to the bar which was chilly, but we were famished by this time so kept our coats on and tucked into our meals. 
The only downside was no indoor pool. So we went to Brean Splash. We used the onsite takeaway facility which was good and well priced. Accomodating to my request of salad instead of chips. 
On checkout we were greeted by the same staff and thanked them so much for their kindness and for saving our weekend's break. 
Would recommend to family/friends visiting the area. Now we know where you are, we may also be back. Thanks again.

First time here Yes it’s a little out dated but the staff are so friendly the entertainment was brilliant had a amazing singer on Saturday night  they have bingo and the kids entertainment was brilliant my 9 ur old loved it we stayed for 7 days and the kids loved every day would be better if the pool was open and the arcade only opened up a couple of days before we left only one thing I would say that we was disappointed with was the size of the tv was small for the size of the caravan are looking to book again next year

Nice little holiday camp.

When we arrived we went to reception to check and we were met by very friendly staff.
Caravan was excellent clean tidy and had everything you needed for your holiday.
Fishing was good but finding the Carp was hard the smaller which is classed as the silver lake was good except for the heavy weed.
The park is fairly small which for us was good.
Restaurant food was good and prices on the menu and at the bar were reasonable.
Arcade was small and some of the machines were not working.
Overall our stay was good and yes we would come back.
Would definitely recommend.
Burnham On Sea a lovely place to stay with everything close at hand.

The site itself was quiet and not a huge amount of caravans, a plus of the location was its literally 10mins walk to the beach. Burnham beach was lovely, but be aware the tide goes out for miles. 
We visited the bar on site for food which was delicious and reasonably priced. The only issue we had was the children's entertainment was on at the same time and was SO loud we couldn't even speak to each other at the table.  All of the bar staff we encountered were lovely. The weather at Burnham was amazingly hot and sunny, but this made our caravan hot and stuffy so we sat at the beach most evenings until it was more bearable. The caravan was spotlessly clean and tidy and had everything utensil wise you could need.
Would recommend as a base for trips out as so much to do half an hour away.
