Waveney Inn

We have just returned from a lovely Valentine's weekend away at the Waveney inn. We paid £125.00 for the both of us which consisted of dinner, bed and breakfast and a bottle of wine. When we arrived we were shown to our room which is a nice little touch. We stayed in "Captains Library" which had spectacular views across the river, boats and marshes. The room was warm, clean and spacious with a huge comfy bed. All the staff were friendly and chatty. A special shout out to the our breakfast waitress (sorry didn't catch her name) and, good luck to her in April. The food was really good and plentiful and, hot. Sadly we were the only ones eating in the restaurant although I understand in the summer it is a lot busier. I can imagine sitting outside on the decking with a nice cold drink in the summer months. There is a games room attached to the restaurant with a pool table, pinball machines and plenty of board games. We had a couple of games of pool (which I sadly lost). There is also a huge TV in the games room and lots of sofas. Breakfast, again was lovely. As we were on a DBB offer we were allowed to chose anything off the menu. We opted for the full English. This was cooked fresh and to our liking (we asked for the sausages and bacon to be well done, which they were. Good produce as well. What else can I say - we will return!!!! Sarah & Roy
