Links Lodge

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way home from touring Scotland by car. It was to be the last night of our holiday and hadn't planned anywhere in particular to stay, but thought we could get as far as Turnberry, before the long drive back home the next day. We found Links Lodge via the internet in the evening and called to book hoping they would have a room and that our last lodgings would not disappoint. We needn't have worried. From the moment we arrived Christina made us feel so welcome, showed us our room (very nicely presented and spotlessly clean) and made us some tea which we took in the lounge, with views over the dunes to the sea. Links Lodge is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Christina also kindly suggested some places to eat and booked a table for us at a local restaurant. The next morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast including, a fine selection of cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast and preserves and cooked breakfast, all served impeccably and with the aforementioned view to gaze upon. I chose the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Now, I have been fortunate enough to stay in some very good hotels in the UK and overseas, but I can honestly say the scrambled egg made by Christina's husband is the best I have ever tasted! Overall, I could not recommend Links Lodge more highly. We would have absolutely no hesitation in staying again.
