Once again we looked forward to our stay at Roxboro House and we were not disappointed. This time we stayed with two friends and they were thoroughly impressed too. The hotel is family run and whilst it is opulent and elegant, the family vibe is visible:- for example the lovely family dogs can occasionally be seen (and petted) . The additional touches make this such a special place to stay - there is wine and cheese served from 1700 or sherry and cake. It is relaxing to sit in the guest lounge and enjoy a drink before the evening starts. The breakfasts are delicious and rather different from the standard breakfast fare. We loved our room with the castle views and we plan to come back once the Covid-19 situation resolves itself. Thanks for a great stay.
