The Graziers Arms

This is a traditional pub with dartboard, pool table and tv's to watch live sports events. Very welcoming staff on arrival. A great place to be with friends and family. Room was clean and comfy, well worth a visit. I had a great night and will be going back again. Close to town center, so either bus or train to get there. Lots of things for everyone nearby. 

I come here a lot to watch both Hearts and Scotland on the telly. 
It's a lonely vigil, to be honest, and the girlfriend only comes on the promise of a few Jack Daniel's and a new frock from the Ridings Centre if Hearts win, which isn't often enough to make a serious dent in my finances.
The pub is popular with sport fans and I take my hat off to the staff who can get 3 different sporting events on at any 1 time- and they're dead friendly, to boot.
If you like good hand-pulled ale as a pleasant accompaniment to the sight of your particular sporting team limping from defeat to imminent defeat on the big screen, you may as well make this your venue of choice.
Oh, well, I'm off to throw some darts at a picture of Craig Joubert, now...

I stopped here for a Sunday lunch during my travels around Yorkshire. It's definately value for money, a lunch and a glass of red wine came to £11.30. The interior was well-appointed and clean, whilst the beer garden, although small, offer a pleasant view and had a small selection of slides for children.

Stayed here on 14 November 2015. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The new management team had taken over the same week. Drinks very reasonably priced in the bar. We were having a night out in Wakefield so just used this as a base.

A place in my Heart.

Under New Management

Stayed at this place last Saturday so we could walk around to Warehouse 23 for a gig. Room was very cheap so should have realised something had to give & boy did it. Great gig then back The Grazier for a couple before bed fairly early aprox 11.30pm. Woke at 1am with fire alarm blaring out, someone resetting the alarm then going off again intermittently for about 45 minutes. Add to this some 'boom boom' DJ stuff going on to 5.30am ...yes 5,30 am. I managed to get some sleep thanks to Timothy Taylors but my wife was awake just about all night waiting for the noise to stop. At 5.35 we were so awake and wound up we packed our overnight bag and left. On leaving, as we passed the main lounge window there were approximately a dozens revelers still at it...now thats staying power! but I dont want it anywhere near me when Im trying to sleep.
 Graziers, dont offer rooms if you cant offer some reasonable comfort and hospitality...i.e. loud music until daft oclock....it spoiled our stay completely..!

Stay well clear if theres a DJ in sight!

I had booked two nights at this place. Only because of the price. When I got there I got told that I was only there for one night and the only suggestion I got was to go to Holiday Inn Express. Extremely inexperienced staff that were on. The surroundings are extremely noisy so it was hard to get a good night sleep. The free wi-fi doesn't extend very well to the top floor. The bathroom didn't have any soap or towels to dry your hands. 

Yes it is cheap, and it shows.

On the plus side the furniture is nice.
