113 reviewsOur family of three had a three-night stay at Hotel Friedheim in June 2019 and our experience was thoroughly enjoyable. First off, this hotel sits on top of a small hill overlooking Lake Lucerne and the new is just gorgeous, especially when you have having breakfast in the morning outside the new building and you are looking at the lake and its surrounding hills and the mist, you can't beat that view. The location of the hotel is great too. It is about 5 minutes away on foot from the shore of Lake Lucerne and where the small shops and restaurants are, about 10 minutes away from the Weggis boat dock where you can take a boat to various places including Lucerne. Parking is free at the hotel, which is great. What's even better is the service. At check-in, we were greeted warmly and were given plenty of helpful advice as to how to get to some sights such as Mt. Rigi and Lucern, where to find parking etc. I had a package sent to Hotel Friedheim from Germany, expecting it to get there before we arrive in Switzerland; however due to custom and postal service delays the package did not arrive until we left Switzerland. Not only Hotel Friedheim accepted the package for me, they even offered to send me the package to my house in the US. They went above and beyond really and I feel greatly appreciated and thankful. Overall we were very happy with Hotel Friedheim and we'd love to return one day. Switzerland is a wonderful country with some of the nicest people in the world, including those at Hotel Friedheim.
