Restaurant-Hôtel de la Poste

The Hotel or later named Pension de la Poste, has closed its doors, due to the passing away of the owner, our Dad. During more than 40 years, my Family served some of the finest and exquisit plates and regional specialties like our typical Swiss Cheeses and Smoked Hamm. The house dessert was a famous "Parfait Glacé à l`Absinthe" and this during its Prohibition years, all together more than 80 years. Breakfast was always included. Located in the Center of Town, where 1871, a good 80.000 Napoleonic Bourbaki Army suffered a defeat near Belfort, close to the Swiss border...this during the Franco-Prussian War. On their way back to France , hungry and freezing, some wounded, were attended by Fleurier`s Population, at a place back then, called Hotel de la Poste.
