This place is an old large house with three floors, in the tiniest village. Perfect setting far from the madding crowd! Great beds, good bedding and pillows. The double glazed casement windows close out all noise for a silent sleep. Open them for the sound of a nearby stream and gentle cow bells. You can shut the external shutters for light blocking, and we did get a lot of morning light because we didn't sort that out. Rooms had TV with DVDs players and a selection to choose from and the lounge has a smart TV, channels are not available. Guests bedrooms ( 3) are on the ground floor with a powder room. The first floor has the one bathroom, which is large and recently given an IKEA partial makeover. It has a shower over bath and two basins. There is a large lounge room and a dining table which seats 8. Breakfast was served ready for us, local conserves, honey, meats and cheeses and two bread types, juice and fresh milk. We made our own pod coffee and teas, which was great. The hosts offered us a drink on arrival, my husband had beer. We were given big bottles of mineral water in our rooms, which also had tea and coffee making facilities. The hosts spoke good English as well as being French and German speakers, and the couple and their daughter are non intrusive, although very helpful and inviting, and this was a perfect stop for us travelling through. If you are looking for tre chic decor, forget it. Homely and comfortable.
