Riverside Apartment

If you enjoy a private, modern, clean and peaceful setting, I highly recommend this hotel. The price is very reasonable and the location is excellent. My room was so quiet, all I could hear was the mountain stream splashing over giant rocks just outside my balcony. I woke each morning to the sight of this lovely stream, surrounded by trees and sunshine streaming through the leaves. (As I sat in bed reading or on the balcony, this was the view I enjoyed - magnificent!) Aesch and Duggingen are minutes away on foot and there is a restaurant on site. There are well-groomed trails which can take you miles in any direction along the river (for example, north will take you directly to Basel). Don't expect a hotel staff at your disposal 24 hours a day, most likely the reason the hotel is so economically priced. The manager is extremely helpful and hospitable, as are other hotel staff. Wireless internet is free as are pets and parking. There is also a computer to use at your leisure (free of charge) in the main office. I have travelled all over the world and I would without hesitation stay here again.
