Sheen Home Stay

Sheen Home Stay is a great place. We are a couple with two kids (10 and 12). We had a wonderful welcome from the hosts and we received all the assistance and information we needed. The area is quiet and safe.The property has a pleasant, well maintained garden surrounded by a wall and a gate which is locked for the night. At night, we watched glowworms in the garden (it was the end of August). The meals were excellent and plentiful. Whatever we couldn't eat, was packed by the hosts into lunch boxes for us to eat later. When we were staying there, the ground floor rooms were available while the upstairs rooms were still being decorated. The room had a fan, a sizeable bed and a wardrobe. We had a nice view of the garden. The bathroom was shared. The beach is a short stroll away from the place. The host showed us the best shortcuts through the forest to get to the beach and to the town. We got a tuk-tuk for 200 RS to get there from the bus station. If you're lucky, you can get to see the monitor lizards living in the garden (they were a hit with the kids). I'd like to go back one day.
