Villa Montana

This property is new and we stayed here for 5 nights in August 2012 (a busy period due to ‘Kandy perahera’). It is located in a residential area in Kandy and well designed to accommodate tourists from anywhere in the world. For a visitor to this part of Sri Lanka, the stay at Villa Montana could give a first hand, and an enjoyable experience to the family life of Sri Lankans as well as that of native cuisine. The rooms are well appointed and they have en suite bathrooms, Satellite TV and Air conditioning (very useful for travellers from countries such as the UK, when it is hot in Kandy!). The penthouse section has a magnificent view of the ‘Hunnasgiriya’ peak when it’s sunny. Although the place is new, the hosts appear to have a lot of experience in the area hospitality in Sri Lanka. They go out of their way to entertain the guests and cater both ‘Sri Lankan’ and western cuisine on request. The property has access to both public transport and private vehicles with facilities available for accommodation of a chauffer if you have one. We highly recommend this place for staying in Kandy area.
