Blue Haven Guest House

I stayed here twice, not because I wanted to but because I had to as I booked a tour with them that saw me coming back through Kandy & each time was a stay I enjoyed. I did like this guesthouse. You could see that they have been in the business for a while because they just knew how to do things right & especially what guests would want. The whole place was well maintained, very clean and tidy with a lot of outdoor areas to sit. The staff were very helpful, cheerful & always smiling, they were great. The rooms had everything one could want, a ceiling fan, an air-con, a well maintained mosquito net over the bed & a TV (never worked both stays & that no one really knew how to use). My room also had a balcony which I loved. Staff are excellent, helpful to ensure that your stay is made comfortable. Breakfasts are also great, you won’t go hungry. One thing to note: the ceiling fan, in the room I was in anyway, is noisy so bring ear plugs. By way of location the guesthouse is approx. 2.5km from the town centre. The walk will take anywhere between 30-45min depending on your pace. I quite enjoyed the walk as it was through what I would describe as ‘green leafy suburbia’ through a better part of town. The location was a fantastic bonus for me. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt 100%.
