Thuruliya Lodge Habarana

We used Habarana as a base to explore Polunawara and go on safari. This bus to Polunawara was a five minute walk away from the lodge. The safari was organised by the lodge who helpfully arranged for us and another couple to visit the national park at a reasonable price. We opted to eat in on the first night, which was tasty but seemed to have been purchased from a nearby take-away rather than cooked on site! However, the breakfast was definitely cooked there and was an impressive meal. Rooms could do with some modernisation and TLC as the walls were a bit dirty but the bathroom was fine and the overall stay was comfortable. I would definitely suggest here as a useful base for exploring.
