Vista Fort Thari Inn

The location of this hotel is fantastic; right inside the fort. We were able to explore Galle and bounce back to our room when needed. The staff was helpful. They cooked breakfast for us and also helped us get a car for the next part of our trip. Rooms were air-conditioned and the showers were hot. Overall, a terrific place to stay.

We had a comfortable room with a/c and a small outdoor area.  Sumit is the young man employed to work there and he was friendly and helpful, with useful recommendations. He prepared a good start breakfast of fruit, eggs and toast. Excellent location.

Fort Thari Inn is a small, clean and nice homestay with great character situated inside the Fort in central Galle. The rooms feel authentically European, are clean and well maintained and the service is tremendous. Would highly recommend. 

I was thinking between 3/4, but location and ok price inside the fort made it closer to 4. Basic rooms and breakfast. Nothing to complain. Manager was answering questions when we needed. Easy to see the fort

Great place for exploring Galle

Great intro to Galle

Great, small homestay

Great location inside the fort, other wise ok place

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night, when we checked in we were put in a beautiful room however the aircon didn't work which meant we were moved to a terrible room with a tiny bathroom that was difficult to get in and maneuver around in. The shower was insanely small and very claustrophobic. The TV cables were also severed so not that we wanted to watch TV but we didnt have the option. We didn't receive any discount despite the fact we were clearly downgraded. We weren't offered any help or advice about Galle Fort and overall I think the service was severely lacking. The room wasn't expensive by western standards but it was expensive for Sri Lanka and it was absolutely not worth the money. I would not recommend. I would choose somewhere else. Location is the only good point but there is many other places to stay in Galle Fort so I would choose another.

Great Location

The room was very small and the bathroom was leaking. There was no one to let us in when we arrived and a young boy came is after many calls to unlock the door. The breakfast was the worst experience ever. We were served something like an omelette but it was actually just one egg just cooked in a pan and divided in to two for me and my husband. I was very surprised that they could not even give one egg per person. Wifi was terrible. Only had public parking. There is no one at the place at night. so not sure how secure this place is.
