One of the warmest hospitality I’m every have. Jagath and his family are very helpful and friendly. Clean rooms and have everything you need for staying for long period. Highly recommend. All Ukrainian people can stay here ;-) Family  very kind and thinking about your convenience.

That is one of the best guest house i've ever stayed!!!  the house is huge, cute and clean.
They all are so lovely and welcoming very  nicely. 
And the guest house has a amazing  antique shop in the place. 
He is collecting a lot of very cool stuff.
when he shows me those things, he has lovely smile and I can see how he loves antique stuff.
I bought these real sri lankan antique stuff  with very  good price and I am so happy. Thank you so much...♡


What a great time we had at Friendship Villa,an extra special family,providing friendly helpful information about the surroundings of their beautiful home, eg, Galle Fort,Rock temple,turtle hospital.Taken by our own tuk tuk driverExcellent breakfast and evening meal all organic food grown in their gardens.it was hard to say goodbye,we will be back for sure 🇱🇰🤪🏏

I would like to say a massive to Jagath and his family. We arrived in Sri Lanka in the immediate aftermath of the truly terrible Easter Bombings. After one night in Colombo we headed for Galle. We were greeted by Jagath on motorbike to guide our driver in. It felt like the whole family came to greet us. A quick run down of what is what and up to our room. 

We took a tour that afternoon to see some temples, get a massage and a quick stop at Jungle Beach. Sadly no sunset view, but they cannot arrange everything. Our more than able driver Ashan (Jagath's son) ferrying us around all afternoon.

Having only just arrived and the fact that a nationwide curfew was in place we opted to eat in. A traditional Sri Lankan dinner was laid on. This was prepared by Rasika, our host's wife. Special mention goes to the daal. Simply delicious. 

After dinner Jagath regaled us with many a story. 

The next morning, a delicious breakfast of Roti, fruit and pancakes. 

Ashan took us out again in his Tuk Tuk dropping us at Galle Fort and collecting us later as agreed. Ashan was even kind enough to find us an ATM following a power cut in the fort. 

Another evening, another dinner, new flavours. Again delicious. More stories. More memories. 

Sadly we found out the UK Government had put a travel warning in place that caused us to adjust our plans. 

We explained this to Jagath the next morning who offered any help he could give. 

The room and service was excellent. The business is in good hands with his daughter.

As I write this I am still in Sri Lanka, uncertain about the rest of the trip,  but fully intending to go back to the Friendship Villa before heading home. 

As the man says. You give good things, you get good things.

A special mention must go to Ashan's 2 year old. A very sweet little boy. I wonder how long before he is working for family business.

We Stayed Here For two nights and it was the best experience of a guest houses in two Weeks of travelling in Sri Lanka. The Family of the host were so nice. They gave us Special traditional Food, because of the new year celebrations. They took US to a Festival of new year where we Could See traditional celebrations of the sri lankian culture.  The Villa was a Dream with very clean and nice Rooms. The Family is a Dream, so friendly People. We could ask them everything and they Organized the transport to City or Massage. 
We Love to Stay here and we will come back here surely.

It was lovely to stay with a family after all the hotels. The family was very friendly and welcoming, and we got on very well. Our room was clean and spacious, and meals on the large balcony were a delight. The vegetables and fruit are mainly from the owner's garden, are organic, and very well prepared. Most of the clients are repeat bookings, which shows how good this villa is.


This is really a "family guesthouse". From the start I was greeted very warmly. Father has many stories to tell, mother cooks delicious breakfasts and dinners local style, the son drives tuktuk and the two lovely daughters are always helpfully present. I especially enjoyed the conversations with daughter Nishadi, who speaks good English and has a very warm and helpful personality.
Stayed one night longer than anticipated and had dinner at the house every night because it was so good.
Also really helpful to get some insight into sri Lankan culture.
It's at the outskirts of Galle so very quiet (apart from the monastery which had loud chanting from 5.00 until 5.45 in the morning; the only minus point but not something that the house can do something about). Many birds, squirrels, other animals and trees around.

I had a great stay here. Beautiful spot outside the hustle and bustle. Lovely spot to sit amongst the trees on the balconies. Very friendly hosts and helpful - made everything easy, from tuk tuk drives to tourist advice and bookings. A lovely family. The room was nice, fans kept me cool at night and netting around the bed was useful. Wifi too, so ticked all the boxes.
