Clean, spacious airy rooms. Everything you need is provided.  Better than most budget hotels in terms of what is provided.  Air con and wifi and hotwater. Clean towels, Run by Shrianthie.  A bit out of the way and down a quiet alley but away from the hustle an bustle of Columbo., Another lovely Sri Lankan. So helpful and accommodating.

Although a bit away from the centre, West Inn is very good value and Shiranthie the hotel manager is extremely freindly and welcoming. She makes every effort to ensure a pleasant stay. I was unable to stay for as long as I had planned because, unusually, the hotel does not accept crefit cards.

We stayed for 1 night, booked 2 rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Food is not available inside. But there is Vasantha bhavan nearby for Indian food lovers. All in all a comfortable stay.

I stayed here at the end of the trip to Sri Lanka and was grateful to have a clean bedroom and bathroom. The only issue I had was that the manager/ caretaker wanted me to pay for the room as soon as I reached and wasn't very happy when I said I'd pay the following morning since I had run out of Sri Lankan currency and only had dollars which they didn't except nor did they take credit cards. But overall, I had a pleasant stay.

Very clean place, reasonably priced

This place is really clean and nice .
I reserved this for one of my foreign guest who stayed here for 10  days. 
Caretaker Ms. Shiranthie is really friendly and helpful.
You get inhouse water filter and a microwave oven with cutlery.
Rooms are spacious, hot water and pressure is up to the level.
Most importantly this is a very safe place to stay in Colombo.


Home away from home

This place is a total turn down. It’s not like how the pictures look. The host lady sriyani gave us a room which wasn’t cleaned at all.  The bedsheet and the pillow case was tidy. They haven’t changed then after someone spent the night there. When asked for change of linen she just gave 2 pillowcases to us and even that looked tidy. Basically they gave us a used room with no cleaning done at all. The washroom was a disaster. I do not recommend this place for anyone. The pictures are all just a scam. It’s not worth for the money you pay. They ripped us off completely for a dirty used room. 

Worst place 

It looked fine at first glance but once you settle in you notice all the let downs. The sheets had stains, the second sheet had a huge hole in it, the towels were very dirty and the soaps were used soaps just wrapped in tissue paper to look new. The reviews were very misleading. I wouldn't recommend it. They seem to have only  a surface cleaning process which is unacceptable! I was very much put off by the place.

Unacceptable

I have visited with my family from trincomalee for one night stay. I have booked this hotel at agoda because of the higher rating in customer reviews. I have checked in in this hotel after ok ne day diving in extreme tiredness. They have provided a top floor room saying that s the good room they have. We had to walk three floor up with out things. The AC was not working at all and there was no fan in that room. It was very hot and we could not stay even five minutes in that floor. The reception lady was telling they were not aware of that AC fault. Ultimately we had to check out immediately with refund. The mental and physical hassle we had was enormous. If they run a hotel, they should be aware of all the room conditions. They should not tell last minute excuses. Its was the terrible experience ever I had.
