This was the first stop on a 28 day tuk-tuk (self drive) tour of Sri Lanka September 2017. Sujit & his family were very welcoming, nothing was a problem to them. Very engaging in conversation and hospitality is a priority to them. The rooms were spacious, clean, linen fresh and the food in their restaurant was flavoursome, great sized portions and quite a variety for all palettes. We were able to easily park our tuk-tuk under the shade of a lovely big tree which was also large enough for us to sit under and engage in conversation and some very cold and welcoming refreshments. Would certainly recommend a stop here at the Hotel Athina if in Chilaw.
