161 reviewsFor us, Palacio Chaves was a lovely lodging made exceptional by warm, delightful Ana (her english is great). Ana was available, helpful, and gave great recommendations when asked. We spent a fantastic 5 days/nights strolling Trujillo’s narrow cobblestone lanes, eating at nearby restaurants which specialized in local products, visiting Trujillo’s historic sites and exploring nearby Cáceres & Mérida with a private tour guide (See separate review of Guías-Historiadores de Extremadura.) In addition to a lovely, very spacious room and bathroom with all needed amenities, there were many cozy sitting areas, a comfortable breakfast area and a quiet, secluded garden where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings. We found Palacio Chaves to be well cared for, clean, quiet, and a great value … a place to return to and to recommend to friends. Safe parking nearby…as in most ancient villages, a smaller car might be helpful.
