Hotel Son Baulo

We arrived home on Sunday from the most wonderful holiday and will be recommending to friends! The hotel is situated in a small town on the outskirts of skirts of can picafort and had a lovely local feel. It is directly on the beach and at the end of a promenade that goes all the way down to the larger resort. There are 5-6 shops including a supermarket just outside the hotel and a couple of cafes and bars. The ting ting train stops outside the hotel and is a great little trip or handy if you don’t feel like walking into the resort. Can picafort itself is lively, lots of bars, restaurants and shops which were fun to visit but we liked being away from the hustle. The hotel has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and all the staff from reception to the waitresses were all lovely and friendly. The food was great, although not a huge choice what there had was well cooked and delicious and we all found plenty to enjoy. The desserts were especially good, full of flavour and the best tasting we’ve ever had from a hotel. Breakfast was brilliant, all once again well cooked and a great choice of pastries and extras too. We really enjoyed the live singers in an evening and had fun doing the kareoke and there was lots of choices of where to sit. We liked the tables on the balcony that gave an inside out feel. The pool was quite deep but there is a sectioned off children’s area. In the summer it is definitely a family pool full of ball games and fun and the children loved it. We visited the pool at various times through the holiday and always got beds for all 5 of us. Overall we loved the hotel and area and would happily return and recommend, we were very sad to leave. If you are looking for a brits abroad style resort this is not for you buy for us it was perfect.
