Hotel Seva

After many years travelling out and about seeking peace and quiet for the first two weeks of August with varying degrees of success, we decided to take the option of Hotel Seva in the small town of Seva just at the foot of the Montseny massif, 60 Km from Barelona. What a pleasant surprise. The Hotel is rated 2 star, but for us should receive a 5 star - family run, caring, attentive - what more could you ask for? The hotel block is modern and well managed - excellent standards of cleanliness - spacious and looking out onto the pine and cork tree woods the surround the establishment. The owners have one of the best grill restaurants in the area and have a deserved reputation for producing well cooked locally sourced food. It is the best place to stay for access either to Montseny park and mountain, the picturesque villages and towns that are close by, the regional capital of Vic (a must if you want to see a great Saturday market set in a large main square with traditional Catalan architecture) and last but not least the Golf Club Montanya El Brull - designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. In fact Hotel Seva is the closest quality place to stay overnight if you want to play the course which genuinely has a country setting (no nearby roads to disturb your play). Eat at the restaurant next door - part of the complex - and try their specialty grilled veal sirloin. Not to be missed!
