Pension La Cubana

The pension is a good base in La Palma for exploring the town and a short walk to bus links for the rest of the Island. The hotel is in Calle O'Daly in the centre and although this is very quiet of an evening it is only a short walk to shops and restaurants. The room was part of the old house but had everything needed with a shower in the room and a separate toilet. I arrived late and the entry instructions were clear and it was easy to get in. The pension is an old house and from the street door I went up the stairs then through corridors and my room was at the back. It was a big old room with old double wooden entrance doors and windows at the end and the side both with shutters and an old dark wooden floor with wide floorboards. There was a low double bed a table and open area to hang clothes. There is a lounge and a small balcony at the front of the pension to sit in. The pension does not do breakfast (at the time of writing) but there is a café opposite to get breakfast and any rolls or sandwiches for the day. There are supermarkets nearby too. My boat was leaving later on the last day and they looked after my bag to pick up later. I had a nice stay and would be happy to stay there again.
