Hosteria Peña Sagra

I was on a solo motorcycling trip in Spain. This was my stay for 3 nights whilst in the Picos Europe area. It is a typical Spanish style hotel. I speak a little Spanish and with the help of Google translate got everything sorted. The staff speak no English. Why should they? But the owner was very welcoming and I had to chase her down to make payment at the end of my stay. It's really busy in a morning with locals stopping in for a coffee. Same on an evening for beers. Some mountaineers from Switzerland and a bunch of motorcyclists from Ireland were there whilst I was. Rooms are basic but clean and fine. Rooms at the front have balconies and face the road so might be noisier. The restaurant serves Spanish cuisine. All good at a good price. I really enjoyed my stay and would thoroughly recommend it. It is good typical Spanish)(not tourist) accommodation.
