Pensión Codesal

We really liked Pension Codesal. It was a stop on the Camino and we arrived around 1:30 p.m. The gentleman who owns the pension was there to cheerily check us in and orient us, even though he speaks no English. The pension has a good clothesline for drying laundry and just across the street is a very good supermarket. We purchased bread, cheese, etc. and the pension owner set us up with dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. in the dining area so we could do our own lunch. The room was great and the bathroom was large with a good shower. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed, which was not overly comfortable - maybe a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale. The innkeeper asked us what time we would like breakfast (3.50 euros). We said 6:00 a.m., thinking this would be too early, but no, he was up and had everything prepared at 5:50. A great stay as you near the end of your Camino!
