Elba Sunset Mallorca Thalasso Spa

Just back from a week here with adult family. Best bits: hotel is lovely and has a really laid back, relaxed vibe. Rooms (Artemisa) with sea views are stunning, everything works properly; good air con, free safe, robes, slippers, tea facilities, coffee machine, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and free hat, we didn’t visit the Spa. Everywhere is really clean and all staff very helpful and friendly and we really felt like ‘guests’. There is a shop across the road and it’s a 10 minute walk to the beach where there are some lovely beachside bars and restaurants. Pool area really clean and spacious with plenty of beds and lovely infinity type pool on the roof. Really refreshing that there is no rush or panic with beds and no need to get up at sunrise to reserve one! We were B&B, lovely big breakfast selection. Different mix of ages but mostly younger visitors. Things to consider: location of the hotel is really central but is very hilly but cabs are cheap. The toilet/shower is only sectioned off by panels of frosted glass cubicles so not a separate room. This wasn’t an issue for us but may be for some who want more privacy. Could be improved: The food in the onsite Bow restaurant was disappointing although the views are stunning. DJ at the pool only couple of hours per week- good mix of music for all ages and never felt like it was too much so would be good if this was every day to create atmosphere around the pool area as it is very quiet- however, even with the music it still felt sedate. Not much entertainment when we were there perhaps make more use of the outside space in the evening with a barbecue night or something. Would be good if there was a mirror over the desk as hairdryer in bathroom didn’t reach to the bathroom mirror. All in all a lovely stay, would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
