72 reviewsBefore Booking ask about there outragous fines! This is the very worst, rude Hostel in Spain. 10th September 2019: I arrived at 11.00: I was told to come back at 3pm, as early arrival is not allowed. I had medication which has to be refrigerated so asked the receptionist if I could put my medication in her fridge. She told me that yes, so I placed it in her fridge. At 3pm I returned to the hostel and asked the receptionist if I could check into the hostel. She told me to sign there rules to stay at the hostel. I told her that I wished to read it first, she became irritated. I scrubbed out the fine of 300 Euros for late departure as this was 20 times the cost of the room. All the hostels that I have stayed in previously have not had these outrageous costs associated with staying at the hostels. The receptionist then took the paper away and told me that she was cancelling my reservation. I asked her about the funds paid for the stay at the hostel, she told me that I would receive a full credit for the booking. I asked her to confirm what she told me in writing. She told me that her boss would confirm in writing the following day. I also mentioned that I would like to speak to her boss today, she told me that this was not allowed. I asked her to show me her complaints book so that I could make a complaint, she told me that this was not permitted. She then asked me to leave. I asked her could I collect my medicine from the fridge, the receptionist said that this was not permitted. She then went on to tell me that she would call the police if I did not leave the hostel. 13th September 2019: I needed the mediation as I had a flare up of my medical condition. As I could not return to the hostel, I went to the Police Station in Central Station, Madrid to make a complaint. The Policeman’s number is 1227290, he contacted the hostel and told them that I would be returning to collect my medication and to make a formal complaint. This hostel would not allow me to complete a complaint form!
