Rural Montseny

A perfect apartment for a small family. Views are fantastic and you are given a warm welcome from Jose Maria, with ongoing support if you get lost. The kitchen hasn't got a kettle so bring one if needed, plus cups are slightly larger than espresso size. There is no oven but you do have hot plates and a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher (two tablets provided) and washing machines are on the top floor (pegs are provided in the drying area but you will need your own detergent). The supermarkets are five mins away by car near Sant Celoni. If you plan to go to Barcelona from Sant Celoni's station, go early before 0745 as there were no parking spaces by 0800 in the morning. We parked down a side street in the end. The swimming pool is five mins away and the address is Pl. Catalunya, 2. 17404. Bosques de la Batlloria - Riells i Viabrea, 17404 Girona, Spain. We had trouble finding it but Jose Maria provided good directions when we called him. Spanish mosquitoes are extremely fast, silent and near invisible - take repellent because the place is so unbelievably relaxing that you don't care you're being bitten and you don't notice until they're long gone! I would recommend staying here as the apartments are great value for money, the locals are friendly, the forest has great walks, beaches are less than thirty minutes away and there are loads to choose from. It was paradise and I would go back.
