Domus Itinerus is a newer, quieter, cleaner, well located gem of a small rural hotel in Samos. After a very warm trek from Fonfria this was a welcome spot to spend 2 nights a recharge our Camino batteries at 40 euros a night. Ask for rooms on the second floor away from the monastery. They are very quiet and private. The hotel has laundry facilities on that floor, plus common space to relax in. The best restaurant in town is next door The Alboroque. Samos is a peaceful oasis on the Camino and Domus Itinerus is a great place to stay.

It's on the end of town past the monastery if exiting the monastery and going to the right.  Very easy check-in.  Very clean, pleasant, basic room with good bathroom.  Quiet.  It seems to be connected in some way with the albergue next door and breakfast can be had at the albergue's shared cafe.  Across the little street is the Hotel Victoria, which has a wonderful food in a very pleasant setting - I ate in the main bar area instead of the dining room - they set out quite a spread of tapas on the bar. There is a tienda on the other end of town where you can also pick up items and it makes for a nice evening walk through town.

If you've decided to take the bus into Sarria for some reason, DON'T RELY ON THE online bus schedule which has the bus passing through toward Sarria at 07:55 a.m!!!.  Had it not been for the very kind and protective woman at the albergue cafe, I would have completely missed the bus (making for a 28K day with pack and a missed reservation in Ferreiros), not known the right place to stand, and not known to aggressively flag it down as it flies through town around a curve.  The bus flew through at 07:30 a.m. and I was not sure it would stop at all for a moment.  The unmarked bus stop is along the stone wall with the albergue chairs just outside the cafe/albergue.

We had A good stay here. The room was good size and the beds were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was very spotty and downloads took forever. We used the laundry service as we were walking the Camino. The monastery was very close by. The hotel was in a good location. I recommend this hotel especially if you're doing the Camino. Try the restaurant next-door called Victoria-excellent meal.

Great location

Steep stone slippery stairs.  Clean rooms.  Tissue paper walls so the place is extremely noisy.  Cold water so no hot showers. When I told the woman in charge about the cold water the next morning she just shrugged. Excellent restaurant across the street on the corner.
