Want to get away from it all? If so, then this is the place to be. Once you arrive by car, having experienced gorgeous scenery to get there, you can choose to just chill out, to hike or to visit lots of surrounding places. The owner is so kind and helpful. He even recommended a great restaurant in Monforte where we drove through on our way to the hotel. I think my daughter, grandkids and I were in the largest "room" which was a home from home with a large living/dining room, small kitchen and a shower/toilet room. Upstairs were 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and single bed and the other with a double bed. The whole place was very clean with fresh towels. Soon after arriving, the owner arranged for the kids to meet the local animals - a pony, a donkey, a pig and chickens as well as a number of dogs and cats. It wasn't unusual to meet cows on the road but they just moved aside to let our car pass them. We drove each day to places like Ourense and Allariz which were reasonably close. The traffic was so light but we often relied on Google Maps so we didn't get lost. Going to sleep each night without a sound outside was a joy.
