Sa Pedrissa Agroturismo – Adults Only

None of what I write here is meant as criticism of this beautiful hotel but there important pointers that any would be visitors need to be aware of. Firstly the good points. The view from the pool and restaurant and some of the rooms, is stupendous. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, in Mallorca. The staff are excellent, well trained and happy to swop jobs as needed. The restaurant is very good quality, albeit the menu is limited and does not change (beware if staying more than one night). Finally the rooms, we chose the Tower Suite which was a good choice mainly because we had the benefit of "the view" from our terrace. This brings me on to the points to be aware of - many rooms do not have the benefit of the sea view which makes your room rate much cheaper if you are happy to do without. Frankly I wouldn't, you may as well just come for a meal. It is also true that you can hear traffic from most of the rooms, but, otherwise the location is fabulous due to the view. However, the hotel is really not walkable from or to Deia - it is simply too dangerous to walk along the road and there is no path. Indeed you cannot truly and safely walk anywhere from this hotel. So a car is a necessity, which does not suit everyone. We stayed at Sa Pedrissa for three nights, with no car. We loved it but agree that two nights would have been enough. Not just because of the inability to easily get into Deia (we did do so using a taxi but catching a taxi back was very stressful and took a long time), but, also because the menu in the restaurant is so limited. Indeed for one meal we asked for a simple grilled fish dish rather than one of the beautiful but rich dishes on the menu, just to give our appetites a break. We were of course served what we asked for, but, we were charged a very large price for the privilege, which is why I would stress you should think very hard about staying here too long. Do go. In fact make a point of it. But don't overstay!
