Such good value for money- the apartments were really spacious and the outside areas are beautiful- loads of lovely plants and big tables for groups to eat at, both in the sun and in the shade. The pool is on the rooftop, with a lovely view of the mountains and plenty of loungers. There is also a table tennis table up there and seats in the shade. The location was excellent: just a 3 min walk to a lovely little cafe and the bus stop. The bus to Malaga was incredibly regular (we never waited more than 3 minutes for one!) and cost just 1 Euro 30 and ran until 11 pm to get home. The really well-stocked supermarket was just 5 mins away and the beach was just a 10 minute easy walk. We really liked the beach- not too crowded, some great restaurants (much cheaper than Malaga) - our favourite was ‘Antonios’ and really Spanish.....not full of Brits, which we liked a lot! The owners Nieves and Paco are lovely- they couldn’t do enough for us, despite a bit of a language barrier. One night we bought oven pizzas, forgetting there were no ovens in the apartment and Paco let us use their oven to cook pizzas for 10 people in (he actually wanted to do it for us and bring them over!) Another day we locked ourselves out with the key left in the door the other side which meant the locksmith had to come and they waived the fee. They were so lovely and friendly. Overall, this is excellent value for money and we really loved our stay here. A few slight negatives- but more just “heads ups” There were quite a few ants in the apartment, but you just need to be careful not to leave food out. We’ve lived in Asia so it didn’t really bother us. Remember bug spray too for the mosquitoes. The pool has no shallow end, so just make sure non-swimmers have armbands or similar. Nieves and Paco really don’t speak English (though they do speak French.) They will do everything they can to help and try to understand you (including phoning their daughter who does) but do be prepared to speak a few key phrases or use google translate.
