Bedcelona Gracia Hostel

My girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by our five nights spent at the Bedcelona Gracia Hostel in Barcelona. With respect to the beginning of our stay, the check-in process was smooth and the receptionist took the time to explain all the different areas of the property (e.g. bathrooms, common areas, etc.), which was much appreciated. I'm not sure about past reviewers saying that the area was sometimes unattended as there was always an employee around whenever we were coming in and out of the property. We had spent time in Barcelona before, but this was our first exposure to this particular location of the city, so we inquired about sites and means of transportation near the hostel. The insight we received from the workers was hugely helpful and much appreciated. As for the accomodations, nothing wowed us, but we knew what we were getting into after having researched the location, rooms, etc. via the previous reviews. They were basic rooms and facilities, which is exactly what we expected. Lastly, though the location may not be right in the heart of the city, it was extremely well placed for our needs. We never felt unsafe in the neighborhood, so not sure what experiences other reviewers may have had during their time. All we can say is that it was absolutely fine throughout the duration of our stay. Overall, a wonderful time at Bedcelona and for the prices paid, it's a no brainer that we would highly recommend the hostel for others...enjoy!!!
