Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa - Adults Only

We stayed at Secrets Villamil, Mallorca, for three nights on our babymoon, and overall it was an excellent experience. Location The hotel’s location was perfect for us—right on a lively street with plenty of souvenir shops and replica bag stores (which I loved browsing!). It’s also right on the beach, with calm, warm water that was wonderful for swimming. The area is quite busy, which didn’t bother us, but I could see it being less appealing to some of the older clientele the Secrets brand often attracts. Room We chose the Preferred Club swim-up pool room, which was a great choice. The room was large, spotlessly clean, with a huge, comfortable bed. Having the pool right outside our door was perfect for cooling off. The mini bar was included, and room service was available (though we didn’t end up using it). Staff & Service Every member of staff we encountered was excellent—friendly, helpful, and professional. Dining We had the all-inclusive package and tried several of the dining options: • Seaside Grill (first night): Really nice food and atmosphere. • Pintxos Tapas Restaurant (second night): This ended up being our favourite, although we discovered that both restaurants are actually in the same location, just offering different menus—a bit odd and slightly misleading. • Olio Restaurant (lunch): Probably our favourite overall meal of the trip—excellent quality. • Buffet Restaurant: Very nice with a good selection, although not a lot of English options. Still, it was a nice chance to try new dishes. One small disappointment was that the Coco Snack Bar was closed for our entire stay—we’d been looking forward to grabbing snacks and ice cream there each day. The beach bar was pleasant, though snacks only started at 1 pm, which felt a bit late for us since we usually had lunch around noon. Bars & Entertainment The same-location issue also came up with the Piano Bar and Sky Bar—they’re advertised as two separate venues, but they’re actually the same bar, which can be confusing. Evening entertainment was good, but there could have been more going on during the day. Pools & Sun Loungers The main pool area was nice but not particularly special and could use some improvement. It was very busy, so we had to get up early to secure sunny spots. Many loungers are in shade for most of the day, and all the loungers facing the sea are under large covers, meaning you miss out on the sun. The Preferred Club pool looked lovely—modern and inviting—but unfortunately, all the loungers there were in the shade and not positioned close to the pool, so we didn’t end up using it. Overall Despite a few quirks and minor disappointments, we loved our stay—especially the location, the beach, and the outstanding staff. It was a perfect babymoon getaway and somewhere we’d happily return to, especially if a few of the small issues were improved.
