Fuerteventura Beach Club

Just back from fuerteventura Beach Club, don't let the bad reviews put you off, I booked and then read them, and I must admit I was a little worried but pleasantly surprised when we arrived On check-in, everything was easy, very helpful staff, and our room was ready straight away. We booked a two bedroom bungalow, requested near the elite pool bar, and got exactly that. Our bungalow was refurbished, sitting area with sofa bed, big screen tv, kitchen area, big fridge and freezer, hob, kettle, coffee percolator, microwave We had a halway with two chairs and a table, a toilet with rain and a wand shower, two double bedrooms (beds split to singles), lcd tvs and hanging space, aircon through out. The bungalow was perfect for all our needs and very secure, we paid for the safe in the room too, a couple of euros a day. There's two pools, main reception, zanzibar and nestors steakhouse, and elite pool bar all onside. (Pool bars are great for daytime entertainment, singers, karaoke, bingo, quiz, etc. Deals on for happy hour, too. Near by you have two main shops, british shop and dinosuper, a commercial centre with bars and resteraunts (chaplins, mollys and bollywood spice all recommended), there a games area for kids and a new big play park across from mollys. The surrounding area is being developed with new roads and walkways, it's only a 15 min walk down hill into caleta de fuste, you pass the market area which is on a Saturday and Tuesday, the beach is lovely and long, I recommend the walk round to atlantico centre, more beaches, the island resteraunt and sites. Lots of scooters about for hire and lots of mobility scooters around, it's very flat and disabled friendly as a resort, if your up the hill it's not as bad as it sounds, we didn't get a taxi once but I did hear it's only €5ish back up, and lots of them. Don't be put off with the negative reviews. We loved it and will be back!
