Sol Almería

We stayed in the Sol Almería for four nights a week from the 22nd February 2018 to the 20th April 2018 while my husband was having medical treatment in Almería. We really couldn’t have been more well looked after. The hotel is ideally placed for two hospitals and is on the bus route for the third hospital. The number 2 bus will also take you to the historic part of the town. A short walk from the hotel is the Archaeological Museum, the Courthouse and an excellent bar called Hammurabi- barbecued meat is their speciality. Our room was spacious, with bathroom, television and toiletries provided. Clean towels every day and clean sheets every couple of days and always kept spotless. We asked for a couple of extra pillows and every Monday when we returned they were in our room. The café/bar provides a good breakfast (juice, coffee and a variety of tostadas or croissants) and also has around a dozen tapas and half a dozen pizzas to choose from if you want to eat in at lunchtime or in the evening. There is a roof terrace where you can sit if you want to smoke (bring your own ashtray). There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel. I have to mention the staff: Isabel, the manager; Fran, Francisco, Alex, Alba and a young trainee looked after us well in the bar; Jose Antonio, the night porter; and last but not least the two cleaners, Maria and Nani; all so polite, kind and professional in every way. We have honestly felt at home here and will certainly come back sometime when we can explore Almería a bit more.
