We reserved a room the day before our trip and were very pleased to get accomodation on the last weekend in July. We were advised that the only double bed they had left was in a tiny room and did we want to change to a larger twin room. They offered a discount on the the double room so we accepted as it was only for one night. The pension is about 1km from the main road running through Nigrán, it is an easy walking distance. The room was small as we had been warned, but it was comfortable and clean. There is a taparería on the ground floor of the pension and after trying a couple of bars in the town (and being unimpressed with both the tapas and the service) we decided to head back. We are so glad we did. We ordered a ración of calamares and zorza and can honestly say that they were the best calamares we have ever eaten after living in Spain for 10 years. The food was ample and very cheap and the waitress was attentive and smiley. We would stay there again. The situation was ideal for us, we just wanted to have a day at the beach without having a long drive back the same day.
