We spent 2 nights in a Sand cabin. It is beautifully appointed with a big comfortable bed, soft towels,gowns a functional kitchen with Nespresso machine and a hot tub. The views over the valley are beautiful. 
We took the breakfast option - great having home made muesli, jogurt and quiche or breadsticks delivered to your door. Stacey and the staff were very friendly and we found the drive up no problem (even in the rain)

If you're looking for a remote destination, with amazing mountain views from bed, breathtaking hiking trails boasting beautiful animals, coupled with the top service, there are few places that rivals Nima Lodge.

I spent 5 days with my wife at Nima Lodge and had made memories to last forever. The staff made was really accommodating with any uncertainties and responded to requests promptly. A big thank you to Stacey, Vida and Anthony for absolute professionalism.

If you're looking to do more activities, shuttle services are available to take you to where you need to be which makes things really convenient.

Once again, I'm so impressed by Nima Lodge and it's staff and will recommend them to anyone looking to spend quality with their partner.

Wow wow wow wow wow.  Spacious rooms, clean, the view - wtf, the hottub, the breakfast. ALL NEXT LEVEL! Go get there!! I’ve traveled allot but this was just the best I’ve ever been to. I wish i had stayed longer but that is hindside. Treat yourself with a stay.

Nima Lodge is by far one of the most beautiful places I've ever got to spend time at. The owners are amazing and make you feel at home. If you're ever thinking about visiting, please do because you won't be disappointed.

The rough road (seriously, take it slow) is absolutely worth it. We made it with our city car, but definitely recommend a high bakkie or similar 4x4 vehicle. We initially planned to visit the town more often when staying here but abandoned those plans once we made the trip once - although this turned out to be way better.

The atmosphere at Nima is indescribably serene - and this is thanks in no small part to the immense attention to detail by the owners. Great lo-fi music is playing as you enter the cabin for the first time, the place smells great, it's very clean, the appliances are a treat to use, the bath has a better view than most wineries - seriously, do yourself a favour and stay here. You will feel years of stress melt away. Did I mention the swing?

Just don't plan on getting in and out of the place very quickly (which might also be seen as a positive)!

The lodge was so beautiful the design, decor, views. Everything was perfect and a lot of thought has gone into making it so chic and peaceful. 

We had an amazing stay. 

There isn’t anything nearby unless you drive into wilderness. So bring food etc there is kitchenette.

My sister and I went to Nima Lodge for 2 nights and had the most amazing and relaxing time! Everything aspect of the Chalet was stunning and I felt so lucky and spoilt the whole time. I definitely recommend adding the breakfast to your stay! It was really delicious! Vida and Anthony were so welcoming and friendly. Plus bonus, the kittens! 😍

Nima Lodge is exceptional. Everything about it is wonderful. 
Lovely hosts, the perfect setting high above Wilderness Nature Reserve made our 3 night stay much too short. Peace and quiet with stunning views of the valley and mountains beyond. Waking up to those views was a pleasure. Breakfast was so enjoyable and different.
We easily voted it the best place we stayed at in SA and would love to return one day.
The road in was a little lumpy but no worse than other SA unpaved routes.
The location was good for coast and inland attractions / sightseeing

Vida and Anthony have given their hearts to this place. You feel the love, the eye for detail, the relaxed vibe and the quality behind everything. Nima lodge is a space to retreat, fully let go and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the surroundings and your company! 

We had the best sleep in the most comfortable beds, the breakfast was delicious and we loved the outdoor shower!

We will be back! :)

Most beautiful place!

Beautiful property with few wooden chalets. we stayed in Sun Cabin. I t was very neat and clean. love the wooden deck and the little swing.  from the deck you can enjoy the stunning view of the mountains and listen to the birds. Perfect place to relax and unwind, away from everything just you and nature.  The absolute silence is what I wanna come back to again.

Place to remember

The utterly delightful @NimaLodge in Upper Wilderness.  We stumbled across this gem en route to our KarooToCoast 2019 race.  An absolute gem, run by Anthony and Vida Chartier, who only recently took it over, re-did it, and have poured their heart's into it.  Everything has been thought of, including a swing on the patio, so you can day dream whilst watching the local bird life, and throw your gaze across the Valley. Or lie in your extra king size bed with percale linen, or on the day-bed on the deck!  If you take the 7 Passes Road from George (the old back road to Knysna) you'll find Nima Lodge, well signposted.  The road gets a bit steep and windy, but it's do-able in most cars.  A bath with a view, and/or an outdoors shower downstairs - take your pick!. Some hand held shots before hitting the swing, then bed!  Perfect for a romantic getaway, or honeymoon!  There are steps from the parking to the chalet's, so if you're not that fit ... it's not going to work!  We loved it, and I could happily head back and not leave for 3-4 days!  It's fully self-catering, with a breakfast option in the main dining/lounge area, where guests from all over meet and chat.  A braai area is available near the pool.  Day trips to Wilderness/Sedgefield/George or MTB riding/hiking in the area... chat to owner's Vida or Anthony, (who's fresh here from Montreal, Canada) and totally in love with this beautiful country !

An unexpected gem!

we absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Nima Lodge. Vida and Anthony made us feel very welcome and the location of these very special chalets is so unique, and yes, so Waow.
It is a very zen/chilled place where you can sync in with the gorgeous environment, the chalets are well equipped and decorated in a modern, unfussy way; the bed was heavenly and with a bonus view; the big deck even had a day bed; we especially loved the atmosphere created with the African music playing softly when we entered the room. Really enjoyed the breakfast offerings, such a welcome change to the eggs and bacon fare we've had to endure for weeks ;-) 
We also loved chatting with V&A and hearing about their plans for this truly amazing place...we wish them all the successes in the world
