the place was awesome.i felt like i was home the shops were near by an the love we got excellent,the welcome we got was great and they made sure that they followed covid  protocols.they gave us a tour around our rooms they had a booklet for us to see what they offer,food was excellent everything was on point ,they made sure they explain to us where to visit on the weekend,

The Oval is definitely our go to place anytime we're in the Western Cape! The rooms are fantastic and comfortable! The hosts Mike and Louise, along with their wonderful staff, are so welcoming and will go out of their way to make your staff perfect. Along with the delicious breakfast (my husband's favourite part of visiting), it is the perfect place to stay when in the Western Cape. I can't recommend it enough!

Great location, very quiet and safe. Really pleasant and clean rooms. But the best thing are the staff: they are very kind and helpful and generous with their time and advice. I have been there twice and I really recommend it both for a nice holiday or a few-days trip.

It's our second visit to this beautiful B&B, easily accessible and deally situated near the N2. The garden is beautiful with a sparkling swimming pool. Mike and Louise were very friendly, helpful and hospitable.  The accommodation was perfect - impeccable and comfortable.  The breakfast was 5 Star, delicious with a wide variety to choose from. We highly recommend The Oval B&B and will definitely return

This is the second time I have stayed at "The Oval" and it certainly won't be the last. Living out of Cape Town & visiting my elderly Mother allowed us the same ground floor room as before ,which was easy on her being familiar with it and the magnificent breakfast spread added to the "Special" stay that it was.
A warm welcome from both Mike & Louise and a day to day check that all was in order with our stay.added to the charm and consideration these folk have for their guests.

My husband & I spent 3 weeks at The Oval and loved it. Our hosts, Mike & Louise, were wonderful. Mike regaled us with many stories and made us feel like one of the family. We met many lovely people at breakfast and enjoyed chatting with the guests. Very nice breakfast, nice room and spacious bathroom. Lovely restaurants nearby within walking distance. Mike made some excellent suggestions of places to visit, such as the Community Gardens in Mouille Point. I made an error in the booking which resulted in us having to leave one day earlier than we had planned, and they managed to find us another accommodation nearby at a busy time of year. We highly recommend The Oval for your stay in Cape Town.

Stayed at The Oval for 3 weeks while my father was having an operation at the nearby Vincent Pallotti hospital.  In the booking process Mike and Louise could not have been more helpful, responding very quickly to our enquiries, and they assisted us with extending our stay when my father's recovery wasn't going to plan.  The breakfasts at The Oval were delicious, plenty of options available from a healthy fruit salad to croissants, hot cross buns and a full English.  The rooms were beautifully decorated and kept clean.  I really can't recommend this property enough - it is conveniently located, well run and the owners are lovely.  Thank you Mike and Louise for a wonderful stay and for being so kind to us while we were with you.

I spent a week at the Oval and had a wonderful time there receiving great advice from both Mike and Louise on what to do and where to go in Cape Town. I had a very spacious room with all amenities and was very well treated. Breakfast was very good and they both always went the extra mile to make me feel at home. A big thank you for such a wonderful stay!

I found The Oval through these reviews and they really were accurate. I was happy to find a home away from home and classic Cape hospitality.A spotlessly clean, luxurious room and overall good value for money in the context of Cape Town. 

For me the location was extremely convenient to and from the airport (15 mins) and with business to attend in Epping (even closer). If you don't want to drive, ask for a transfer at time of booking and Mike will collect you or drop you at various venues.  Secure off street parking on the property with easy access to the house.

Dinner can be pre-booked by arrangement and I found this a great benefit. Louise caters home cooked meals and you can stay in and relax and / or work. There is also a microwave in the room if you want to bring a ready meal or take away with you. Breakfasts also offer plenty of options. This couple have thought of everything you need as a traveller to make your stay easy and enjoyable for you.
A place I would happily return to and highly recommend.

Lovely property in beautiful Cape Town

Wonderful stay!

I spent one week at Louise and Mike's place and this was a pure pleasure.  Everything was perfect: I had this lovely cosy room on the garden with the most comfortable bed and all details that make a great stay. The breakfast was delicious. And Louise and Mike are fantastic hosts always ready to give you a hand and make sure you thoroughly enjoy Capetown.

This was a wonderful stay! Louise and Mike are very friendly, while also giving you space. Breakfast is elaborate, with lots of options, and the rooms are wonderful! Mike and Louise can give you lots of advice of where to eat etc., and really care for their guests. I'd definitely stay here again, and would recommend The Oval for both business and pleasure stays.
