Excellent huge room, very clean, comfortable beds. Friendly receiving from staff even though we booked in late on Sunday afternoon. Seems like safe quiet area with secure parking and security to enter and exit.

Love coming to acorn lodge when away on business! Very homely feel! Peaceful and manicured setting! Perfect for family's! Will definately be bringing my family to stay when here again on holiday! Owner is fantastic and very hands on.


Acorn lodge feels like home away from home. The lodge is situated very close to the University of Cape Town. The rooms are serviced everyday. Furthermore, June is a pleasant, helpful and very caring host. To top it off, her breakfasts are very delicious! A must for travelers visiting the Cape.

Very friendly and personal service made our stay special. 
The house is spacious with lots of open public space to relax in including the garden with a large pool. The bedrooms are also spacious and guests have use of an additional little kitchen area if needed. 
Secure off road parking and free wifi are additional benefits. 
The lodge was easy to find and in a quiet location but only 15 minute drive into central Cape Town. Excellent value for money.

Highly recommended. Lovely settings with secure parking, a lovely outside area and swimming pool and very close to shops, restaurants and especially UCT. June is the perfect hostess, who is a mine of information about where to go and does a lovely breakfast, hot and cold. Our room was perfect, with a little kitchenette and fridge which allowed us absolute freedom.

The lodge is located in a quiet and save neigbourhood with secure parking. The large bedroom, shared living room, garden and  pool ( all dedicated for guests) makes you feel at home. The service of the friendly owner June was perfect, very willing to help you. Breakfast was nice, for dinner it is allowed to use the microwave in the kitchen and the fridge to put some drinks or food. Guests can use the honesty bar to have a drink, just write down what you take from it. Most guests are staying for business in Cape town, so for us as tourists we had the shared facilities for our own most of the day and evening!
