Kasabah Senhaji

I couldn't help but irked that there are only negative reviews for this gem of a budget hotel (in a town where not many foreigners are staying). Kasaba Senhaji, where I spent a night, and its proprietor (a friendly young woman with glasses who speaks mixed English-French) are actually real gem. First, every parts of the hotel are spanking clean, a rarity among Moroccan budget hotels where generally there would be a little (albeit acceptable) stain on something. The owners must have paid very good attention to details here. There's even the only "bum gun" I've seen in Morocco, probably a rarity in this part of the world (and a real treat for me as someone from Bangkok, the bum gun capital city of the world). Contrary to what the other reviewer stated, the proprietor had managed to calculate the price I paid through the online converter app, which is 167 Moroccan Dirham (converted from 15 Euro quoted on booking.com). This gives the impression of fairness. I didn't dine here (I dined at a Kefta parlour named Grillade Albanna, a Moulay Idriss specialty). Overall, my best stay in Morocco (Casablanca and Meknes Area) trip as a budget traveler.
