56 reviewsThis place simply took my breath away. A great warm welcome from Cassandra. A Stunning Tuscan property in the most peaceful setting, which means its off the beaten track but our GPS got us there with no problems (although I’d recommend arriving during the day). We had the Rosa ground floor apartment overlooking Volterra and the rolling hills. Well equipped with all you need, even breakfast in the restaurant area if you want. There are two bedrooms, the double with french doors opening out onto the garden, the other with two single beds, both kitted with vintage furniture. The kitchen is just stunning, an old stone sink, 50’s pantry and marble farmhouse table. The outside has plenty of seating and a Beautiful pool area. There is about a 20 minute drive to Volterra, a lovely Tuscan hilltop town, take a guided tour here and wander the streets with shops and restaurants / bars. 30 mins from San Gimignano - try a Tuscan cooking course here. Tip: this place is in the countryside, so take plenty of Mosquito repellent or use the sun cream with repellent in. It’s off the beaten track so be prepared for the climb up on a stoney road - well worth it for the peaceful setting.
