Boutique Hotel Scalzi - Adults Only

We stayed for 3 nights at this delightful hotel. It's a very old building which is full of character. It's easy to walk into the centre of Verona from the hotel or use the bus from the stop nearby. If you are attending the opera it's not too far to walk to the hotel afterwards as it finishes very late or there are plenty of taxis. The staff are lovely. I believe all the rooms are different...our room was spacious with plenty of storage space. Bathroom was a good size with a huge walk in shower. Good air conditioning in rooms. Breakfast is taken in a charming room leading to a little outside terrace called the "Secret Garden". Good choice of bread, pastries, frittata, cereal, yogurt etc. Very pleasant staff will make your choice of coffee. There's a lovely little reading area. A nice touch is the glass decanter in the room which was filled daily with water. There is no lift in such an old building so the stairs might not be ideal if you have walking difficulties. There isn't a safe in the room but the hotel offer use of safety deposit boxes at reception. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this absolutely charming & unique hotel.
