Villino Azzurra

Most tourists we were told prefer the other villages but we loved Corniglia because of this! Not as many tourists come here so it is quieter and more quaint. We arrived in early April so the season for tourists was just kicking in. Azzurra met us in the plaza as we found it a little tricky to find our way up to her place the first time. We stayed for 3 days here and loved it. Our favorite place to sit was upstairs on the small outdoor balcony.... what a view and what wonderful sunsets! We were her first guests for the new season and the hot water had not been turned on yet. Once we notified them it was quickly taken care of. Our second most favorite place to sit was the lower garden that we fondly called "our turtle garden" because their 2 turtles resided there. What fun to watch! When you go upstairs there are two steps up to the bathroom and two steps up to the bedroom. If you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night I found I had to wake myself up a little more to maneuver these. We hope to some day come back to Cinqua Terra and would definitely stay here again!
