Caffè del Viaggiatore

Such a lovely place to stay with a courtyard for off-road parking. The Italian owner helpfully spoke good English. He said he also spoke other languages as well. It is right on the edge of the lake and the front rooms have a view over the lake and the back rooms have a delightful view of the mountainside and over look a courtyard with typical Italian buildings.The owner and his wife were lovely, warm, helpful and hospitable. The rooms have what you need and the bed was comfortable. Opposite the hotel is a small outdoor public swimming pool and you can also swim in the lake but I'm not sure where. There are a couple of cafes/eateries near in addition to the Caffe itself which has indoor and outdoor seating and served a wonderful continental breakfast which was inclusive, of brioche, bread, egg, cheese and salami, juice and coffee. We also had lunch with a simple but delicious home cooked typical Italian food using fresh local ingredients.
