B&b Tanarizzi

I spent four nights there in October. I was making a trip to Vallelunga, the village where my ancestors emigrated from one hundred years ago. Rosemarie and staff helped out beforehand with doing some records research on the family tree I sent them. The stay was above and beyond my expectations. The grounds are beautiful, with a nice view out over the vineyards across the valley, but the personal attention and service is what stood out the most. Rosermarie and her staff were extremely helpful in every way. They helped me on the search for my ancestor's records at the church and civil records office, and hired a driver to take me to the other nearby villages where other family members had come from, as well as to visit the Roman villa at Piazza Armerina and the Greek temples at Agrigento. Rosemarie came to sit down with me and plan out my stay when I arrived. She wanted to make sure I was well looked after. She even had them get special gluten-free bread and pasta, which they cooked and served to me for my entire stay. The young couple who run the place took care of every last detail, and the home-cooked meals were wonderful! They drove me to Rosemarie's place and let me use her phone when my bank blocked my ATM card (be careful of this - I was told by the banks that transactions in Italy set off a lot of red flags, because of rampant bank card fraud there, even if you let them know you are traveling there, like I did). All in all, I couldn't give a higher recommendation. You could pay more to stay at a 5-star hotel, but would still not receive the personal attention and hospitality you will at Locanda Tanarizzi. 5 stars in my book!
