Fattoria del Cerretino

Bruno, family with 2 little kids We stayed a week in this agriturismo with our two kids last August. We used it as a convenient basis to explore Umbria (Perugia, Gubbio, Citá di Castello, Umbertide). The surroundings offer nice wandering, and the view from the top of the wineyard close to the pool is amazing. All the while, the location is quiet enough to allow complete relaxing. Our children had fun feeding the donkeys, we once tried to entice the sheep closer to the fence but they happen to have enough pasture; what we did not brave was a close look at the bees though. We were overwhelmed every day with delicious dishes; needless to say the home-made-pasta was fantastic, and I must mention the lamb “contadino style” – the best I have eaten in years (by far!). The “vin santo”, also home-made, rounded every dinner. We took advantage of the kitchen in the apartment to cook lunch a couple of times (with ingredients bought in local weekly markets), which we then enjoyed outside (the trees above the pool offering good shadow cover). Family Giannelli will take care of you and go great strides to make you feel comfortable. Mr Giannelli even installed his own small inflatable swimming pool for us so our little daughter could have a bath. Altogether, a very enjoyable holiday in this agriturismo. I truly recommend it!
