La sosta di Annibale

My niece and I stayed with Andrea and his lovely wife for six days while we spoked out into Tuscany and Umbria. Our second level apartment, around back, was beautiful and spacious. The grounds are covered in olives, three varieties of grapes that we noticed and fruits. We could step out of our apartment and gaze over the countryside leading up to Lake Trasimeno as a backdrop. In the mornings, we found gifts from the property on our stoop - homemade fig jam, fresh figs and grapes. If you find the need to procure paper products, salt/pepper and food for meals, there're two grocery stores down by the lake - Gala and Lidl, that carry anything you'll need. The property has cats that patrol the premises and who warmed up to us so, we invited them in for a nap or handouts. This property is so centrally located that I really don't think I could have done better staying anywhere else. It's pin-drop quiet in the evenings and through the night. The pool looked so inviting but, we were there the first week of October. Andrea's limited English and our limited Italian made for interesting moments. Download an app that you will know Italians use (can't name it here) and communicate through it. We sent messages and pictures back and forth. I highly recommend this location and these charming people. We will not soon forget how wonderful our stay was.
