After not finding suitable lodging on the Amalfi Coast, we looked further south and, not aware of the area, took a punt on La Residenza, a property run by the Angela who also runs Borgo Riccio, and it turned out to be the most memorable, wonderful and special part of our Italian holiday. We were warmly greeted by Angela (and Alice the black Labrador) and shown some of this amazing area. Our daily breakfast was filled with buffalo mozzarella, cake and other local wonders that we have craved since our departure. The whole area is rich in history, culture and cuisine - largely overlooked by most international tourists and even Italian ones - but really deserves to be seen by good travellers. The accommodation is great value, the food is beautiful, and this is where you want to be after you have done what you need to do in Italy. I cannot recommend it more!
